Special wreath-laying ceremony will be held
at the Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira NY, Dec 13th at Noon. Members of
the Civil Air Patrol, South Central Group, will conduct the ceremony.
For the Third year in a row, a special wreath-laying ceremony will be held
at the Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira NY, Dec 13th at Noon.
Cadets and Officers of the Civil Air Patrol, South Central
Group, consisting of Squadrons from; Binghamton, Elmira,
Ithaca, Oneonta andOwego, will
conduct the ceremony. An C.A.P. Honor Guard will be present and a
representative of each branch of the military will lay a wreath in honor of
all veterans and POW-MIAs.
The wreath-laying is part of the national Wreaths Across American program.
2008 is the 17th anniversary of holiday wreaths being donated from the
Worcester Wreath Co. in Maine to decorate graves at Arlington National
Cemetery. Each year the folks at Worcester Wreath Co. make and donate
wreaths that adorn more than 5,000 headstones of our nation's fallen heroes.
